Feeling anxious about yourself and not loving the way you look?

Wanting to feel more confident in yourself is something almost everyone struggles with at some point. Think about how many times you’ve decided not to do something solely because of how you felt about your body. Maybe you didn’t go swimming with your friends. You didn’t wear the dress you loved because you were worried it showed off the “wrong” parts. Maybe you didn’t ask someone out because somewhere in your head you had already decided you weren’t good enough.

We make these little decisions all the time without realizing just how much the way we see ourselves can hold us back.

And learning to see yourself differently isn’t something that happens overnight. It takes time to rewire the way you think about yourself, especially when you’ve spent years automatically looking for everything you wish you could change.

Which is exactly why a boudoir photoshoot can sound like the furthest thing from your mind when you’re already feeling insecure.

We’ve had so many women walk into our studio anxious about certain parts of themselves. They already know what they don’t want photographed. They know the parts they want to hide. They come into their photoshoot already thinking about what they believe is the worst of themselves.

But that’s not what we want for our clients.

We want to change that. We want you to have the chance to see what everyone else sees when they look at you. Not just the things you’ve trained yourself to pick apart in the mirror, but all of the things you don’t get to see in yourself every day.

Because sometimes the way you see yourself and the way the people who love you see you are two completely different things.

But how can a boudoir photoshoot actually help you see yourself differently?

Think about how often you actually get to see yourself when you’re happy.

Most of the time when you look at yourself, you’re looking in a mirror for a reason. You’re checking your hair, seeing how an outfit fits, putting on makeup, or looking to see if there’s something that needs to be fixed. And when you’re already feeling insecure, how easy is it for your eyes to go straight to the things you don’t like?

But how often do you get to see your own eyes light up when something makes you genuinely happy?

Do you get to see yourself when you’re laughing so hard you’ve completely forgotten to think about how you look?

Or what about the confidence you carry when you’re doing something you’ve done a million times? Something that feels so easy and normal to you that you don’t even think twice about it, while someone else is watching you thinking you have it all figured out.

Everyone else gets to see those versions of you. You usually don’t.

Your best friend sees them. Your partner sees them. The people who love you see them.

And that’s what we want to give you the chance to see, too.

At Ella Gagiano Studios, our job isn’t just to put you in front of a camera and take a beautiful photograph. We take the time to get to know you. We guide you through the entire experience so you don’t have to know how to pose, where to put your hands, what expression to make, or how to suddenly become “good” in front of a camera.

You don’t have to walk through our doors already feeling confident. That’s kind of the point.

We want to photograph the woman who comes through when you stop thinking about all the things you believe are wrong with you. The laugh you don’t get to see. The confidence you don’t realize you’re carrying. The version of yourself that your best friend or your partner gets to see all the time – the real you, the part of yourself you may have forgotten about.

And that’s why we wanted to share Miss M’s experience.

We can tell you all day long what a boudoir photoshoot can feel like, but sometimes it means a whole lot more to hear it from a woman who actually stood in front of our camera and experienced it for herself.

Miss M says it better than we ever could.

A boudoir photoshoot isn’t going to magically erase every insecurity you’ve ever had. But it can give you an opportunity that you don’t normally have — to step outside of the way you’ve gotten used to looking at yourself and see yourself from a completely different perspective.

Maybe you see the confidence everyone else already sees. Maybe you stop wanting to hide a part of yourself you’ve spent years worrying about. Maybe you notice your eyes before you notice your stomach. Your laugh before the thing you normally pick apart. Or maybe, for once, you look at a photograph of yourself without immediately searching for what’s “wrong.”

We don’t expect you to walk into our studio already seeing yourself the way we do.

We just want the chance to show you.
